Experience
I qualified as a social worker in 2014 from Swansea University with a 1st class honors and since that time I worked in a range of adult services teams both as a social worker and then as a Best Interest Assessor after I took the BIA qualification in 2015.
Since 2021 I managed a DoLS Team for a Local Authority and then in 2023 I set up a cross directorate MCA Team to support staff to complete complex capacity and best interest paperwork.
Our Philosophy
At MCA Consultancy, we work with people in a person centred way with a strengths based approach to ensure they are assessed in a way that works with their strengths and supports any needs they may have.
We strongly believe in supported decision making and work with people to try and support them to make their own decisions if possible.
